A House Divided: Memphis vs Ole Miss

Oh, the start of football season!  I will definitely admit that I am not the greatest of football fans.  I love going to games, but it isn't so much about watching the actual game itself...it's more to spend time with the family and great friends.  :)  However, I know I am married to someone who also goes to the games to actually watch each and every play...and if at all possible, wouldn't miss a game!  :)  I realized this nine years ago...when on September 2, 2000, Manley made the drive to Oxford to watch his team play.  What's the significance of that date?  Well, I guess I still laugh at the fact that nothing, not even our wedding day would keep him from watching the rebels play.  (I can still remember waiting for the phone call to tell me he made it back to Memphis!)  He's definitely a true rebel at heart!

However, that being said, there is one game that I never want to miss...Memphis vs. Ole Miss!  Being a former Tiger and living in the world of the Rebels, I would never pass on the day where both teams are on the same field. It's such a fun game!  And in all honesty, I really don't care who wins.  Would love a Tiger win, but when you're married to a Rebel, having a win works great too (and it definitely makes for a happy husband!)  :)

All in all, football season is a great time of year!  The kids LOVE going to the games with their daddy...just as much as their daddy LOVES starting the tradition early with them!  To me, it's not about who came home with a win, or how the defense played...it's the memory that Parker, Ava, and Lily will take away from that time they get to spend with their most favorite guy (and mom on some occasions)!  These special times will forever be locked in their memory box, and this is why I love football season!

All the girls before the game!

Two best buds: Parker and Logan!  They look like they are talking strategy!

A group shot of the guys!  :)
